Quirino General High School Students Shine at the 53rd Panagdadapun Festival

Quirino, Philippines – Students from Quirino General High School (QGHS) showcased their talents and enthusiasm on September 10, 2024 at the 53rd Panagdadapun Festival, a vibrant celebration of culture, unity, and local heritage in the province of Quirino. The festival, which highlights the rich traditions and diverse communities of the area, took place over the weekend, drawing participants and spectators from across the region.

Under the guidance of their teachers, QGHS students actively participated in various events, including cultural performances, street dancing, and community service activities. Their involvement not only allowed them to express their creativity but also fostered a sense of pride in their local heritage.

Dr. Richard C. Subia, Principal IV of QGHS, expressed his pride in the students' engagement in the festival. He supported the Street dancers of QGHS by hiring great trainors, instructed the PE teachers to let other students participate in the preparation of the performance of the dancers by helping in creating their props.

The students’ performances, featuring traditional dances and music, captivated the audience and received enthusiastic applause. Many attendees noted the impressive energy and dedication displayed by the young performers, which brought a fresh perspective to the festival's celebrations.

The festival also featured various booths highlighting local products, arts, and crafts, allowing students to learn more about their province's culture and economy.

As the festivities concluded, the students returned to school with cherished memories and a deeper appreciation for their community. "Participating in the Panagdadapun Festival was an unforgettable experience," shared a student performer. "It made us feel proud of our culture and brought us closer together."

The success of QGHS students at the festival reflects the school’s commitment to holistic education, encouraging students not only to excel academically but also to engage actively in cultural and community events.
